We Believe there are three important ingredients that make a Wedding video or DVD special

Why choose beaconvideo for capturing one of the most important days of your life?

 Most of our work has come to us through personal recommendation from couples that have seen our work at their friends or families weddings. We have been working with video since the mid 1980s, the camera’s we are currently using are high quality 3 CCD ENG cameras the type of camera that are often referred to as a DVs when used for outside broadcast and news gathering work. We are aware that the last thing you want for your special day is a film studio .Our aim to is achieve results using discrete filming where possible. Using professional tripods with  built in camera controllers, that allow us to achieve high quality, steady close up shoots even from a distance. Lights are not normally required during your day except possible for the first dance and disco filming (If they are required we will use professional cool running hand held or camera mounted lights). Sound is also very important and it is often difficult to hear the Bride and Groom clearly especially when filming from a distance, We overcome this problem by using a digital UHF frequency radio microphone.  

Over the years our filming and editing skills have received commendations and awards and several of our 1 and 2 minute short  video films have been broadcast on Meridian television. To make a good short film, the sound and vision must be of a technically high quality and the film must  tell an interesting and entertaining story . We put these skills to good use when we edit and produce our wedding videos. We carry out all our own editing using our own postproduction and duplication facilities ; the entire video film footage is edited using one of our latest digital editing computers and we produced a fully authored DVD with interactive menus and selected chapter points, presented in a case with a specially produce personalised insert and printed DVD disc.   

We carry out all our own work (we do not use sub contractors) and are members of the institute of videography working to their guidelines, we carry public liability insurance, our  filming equipment is regularly checked and tested and is battery operated so there is not the risk from your guest tripping over long leads.

Most of all we aim to offer a high quality and friendly service and produce a Wedding video or DVD  that you, along with your friends and family will enjoy watching for many years to come.
